The original idea behind Kngt-Up Lights was to attach lights to skateboards to make skating at night safer (See the video below). After multiple attempts to come up with a method that actually worked and finally coming up with one, another idea surfaced: just wear the lights.

This idea seemed better suited since the light will follow you and not just the skateboard. In addition, wearing the light in a hands-free fashion would come in handy for other night time activities: walking, jogging, small tasks, walking the dog, etc.

We discovered that there are already lights being manufactured that work well. We just needed to come up with a way to wear them. We came up with a simple Velcro® nylon strap in combination with two silicon bands. A simple and effective solution.
